Full Time Staff Accountant: Vancouver

We are seeking an experienced staff accountant to join our accounting and finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with the preparation of monthly financial reports, month and year end accounting adjustments, year-end audit documents and quarterly income and expense statements. Other duties may include financial reporting for funders and health authorities, reconciling annual donation receipts, quarterly tax filings and other duties as assigned by the director of finance. A CA or CGA designation is preferred but not required, and experience with Microsoft Nav is an asset.

 

Onsite Resident Manager: Lower Mainland

This is a live in, part time position with flexible scheduling and a housing benefit. The job description includes the full range of resident property management and custodial duties. The successful candidate will have good “people skills” and an ability to work within the MTR Housing ministry team setting. Prior experience working with low-income households and an understanding of the needs of this tenant group are definite assets. Preference will be given to applicants with property management or related experience. A car, a clean driver's abstract and a class 5 drivers license are required.


Full Time Property Manager: Metro Vancouver

More Than A Roof Housing is seeking a qualified candidate to provide the full range of property management duties bringing oversight and leadership to diverse tenant communities in British Columbia.  Working closely with a talented team of associate and resident managers, the successful candidate will effectively manage a portfolio of residential buildings and liaise with outside agencies as required.


Excellent “people skills” are required as is an ability to work and lead within the MTR Housing ministry team setting. Experience working in the non-profit sector is a definite asset, including having a grasp of non-profit funding models, and while professional Property Management certification is preferred, it is not required. 


Preference will be given to applicants with at least 3 – 5 years of property management or related experience. Strong verbal and written communication skills plus an aptitude for administrative processes are essential.  Salary is commensurate with experience and compensation includes a comprehensive benefits package following a probation period. A car, a clean driver's abstract and a class 5 drivers license are required.


P/T Building Manager: Downtown Vancouver

More Than A Roof is hiring for the position of Associate Manager at a building for singles in downtown Vancouver. The job description includes the full range of property management duties and is performed as part of a diverse management team. Successful candidates will have good “people skills” and an ability to work within the MTR Housing ministry team setting.  Experience working with low-income individuals and an understanding of the needs of this tenant group are definite assets. Preference is given for property management or related experience. 


Addiction Recovery Support Worker / Community Support Coordinator - F/T Temporary One Year Contract: Downtown Vancouver

We are seeking a professional with skills, training and a passion to see people thrive through social support services for seniors and families including counseling, implementing social work theories, practices and procedures and employing a knowledge base of other social determinants to a diverse tenant population. The individual will also assist and encourage a diverse group of program participants recovering from an addictive past by providing support to maintain their sobriety and achieve their recovery goals and objectives. Preferred qualifications for this position are a University degree or College Diploma in Psychology, Social Work, or Social Service Work, or an equivalent field, plus a minimum of two years direct work experience. Experience in mental health support is a definite asset.


On-call/Casual Addiction Recovery Support Worker: Downtown Vancouver

We are seeking a qualified individual to assist and encourage a diverse group of program participants recovering from an addictive past by providing support to maintain their sobriety and achieve their recovery goals and objectives.  Our addiction recovery and support services are offered to 60 individuals at two locations designed specifically for single people with low incomes. The job involves all aspects of recovery support on weekends with our tenants who have completed an abstinence-based, transitional, supported housing program. Candidates must have relevant education and at least two to three years of direct work experience.

This position offers social support services to downtown tenants including counseling, implementing social work theories, practices and procedures and employing a knowledge base of other social determinants to a diverse tenant population, with additional support for other communities as required. Preferred qualifications are a relevant degree, or an equivalent of education and work experience, in a relevant field plus a minimum two years direct work experience. A driver’s license is an asset.
